Hello, I'm having trouble with fanreach, I cannot send messages with fanreach to my myspace friends. I'm able to send the message to my fanreach contacts but after I sent it, there's "Unable to send Message via Myspace." written on the display.

We uesed the Fan Recruiter template from RN to myspace. And we have a FanReach Pro subscription. The rest looks identical to the picture above.
I tried it several times in the morning, during the day, in the evening. Always the same error:-)

We are still not able to send from RN to myspace is there a way to disable the fanreach in Myspace If I remember right about the same time we initiated fanreach on myspace the problem started and I noticed that none of the pro email templates have players on myspace I think Myspace is blocking something!!!! -

IS THIS REVERBNATION OR MYSPACE? Sorry to "internet shout" but I've brought this up over 2 weeks ago with all the details that can be read above and nobody has had a response from an employee in this thread for 3 weeks.
If I was having the problem with my free account I wouldn't be as bothered, the mailing list and myspace fan base is tiny compared to my paid account.
Really starting to get a bit upset that this feature doesn't work on an account that I pay for.
Can everybody who's checking this thread please just make a quick comment so RN notice we're still here and maybe we'll get an update. -

Just tried it again. Set an email up to send to my Myspace and still didn't work. I'm pretty bummed because this is the main reason I paid for this feature. I use a different email service for my other mailing list.

Used to be back in the day both RN and Myspace fans would be listed as a total number of fans. Now all I see are the RN fans listed.

This is typical of Myspace of late - launch a new feature before they know that it works, I'm just sorry that Reverb seem to have gone down their road.

Just got mine working after not working for a month too all please try to unlink/unsinc with your myspace account then reboot the pc launch IE and load RN resinc with Myspace for me this did the trick hope this helps!!!!-
Will try this ASAP . . . to note, with Mozilla browser, am unable to unlink/unsinc. Same issue with Twitter unlink and Mozilla.

Ok, we were able to send out the myspace fan collector: but the analytics do not work. Information in the fanreach email history and in the detailed analytics (on RN) look all the same: all figures are zeros (0),
But we received some feedback from our friends.. Some people opened the newsletter. The analytics part does not work. It's not over;-).

I keep trying from both Myspace and Reverb and still cannot get the Email out to Myspace Friends.
However, I've noticed that the Stats on my last Email sent apparently only to Reveb Fans are completely different on Myspace to Reverb.
I've tried disconnecting my sych to Mysp[ace to try the fix suggested - but it won't let me do it. -

Hey ho - it's worked.
I used the unsych / reboot / sych method all through Reverb.
If you are sending to Myspace friends only you need to read the stats carefully as it says sending 0 to Friends and in small print "and Mysapce friends" It does not give a figure for Myspace friends, which is a bit confusing and the stats still show that it's going to 0 people.
Someone needs to do some work on the stats. -

Ok, it worked with one particular method only.
Usually I use Chrome and was trying to send via both Myspace and RN, with neither working.
The only was I could send via my band's account was using IE and going through RN (not Myspace).
I log into Myspace today to find that my band's account has now been blocked for suspected spamming (please note that the message I sent yesterday via Fanreach was the first one in weeks and I do not use any software or anything else that Myspace doesn't allow).
Thankfully I only had to fill in a captcha box to unblock the account but I won't be using Fanreach again and risk losing complete contact with over 25,000 fans.-

Don't give up on Fanreach mate - the problem is as per usual Myspace!! They really are making a mess of things at the moment. My base is much smaller than yours, but Myspace ripped all my RSS feeds out without warning and seriously affected my communications with my followers.
I think they are introducing new services without making sure they work properly.
Put the blame where it deserves to be mate.

first of all I think it'S a great tool to get in contact via fanreach with all myspace friends! BUT: it doesn't work from the beginning on my side.
In Reverbnation I see a red box with following text "Hmm, Myspace seems to be having problems at the moment. Please try to send your message again later."
Starting from myspace I can reach only the fanreach contacts. Myspace friends are disabled. A huge mess.
On the other side I get every day mails in myspace using the fanreach tool.

Want to tell you that it works now. All myspace contacts got mail regarding facebook link and reverbnation link. The result today is that my reverbnation links on facebook are BLOCKED!!! A huge mess again...I'm dissapointed...

Yes, you will need to un-check the 'FanReach' contacts box, and check the 'MySpace Contacts' box in the 'Select Recipients' step of the process. This will only send it as a MySpace message. Hope this helps!

I see no such box. There's an option to check or uncheck Myspace contacts, but the Fan reach list is already selected with no checkbox next to it.

It is not broken. Currently, it will still say '0/0' contacts. This is because you are not sending it to any of your FanReach Contacts. We are working on a fix for this message, because it can be misleading. I apologize for the inconvenience.

Just read the blocking issues that some seem to be experiencing in Myspace for sending Spam following use of Fanreach.
So far it's not happened to me - but - this is an issue that Reverb / Fanreach need to sort with Myspace Security. We've experienced this problem in the past with just the basic widget links on Myspace.
I think it's a case of the right hand not knowing what the left hand is doing.
Overall, I would suggest that this is yet another example of a service supplier, be it Fanreach or Myspace launching a service without fully Testing it. But good to see that the issues are slowly being sorted.

It works now, but I found my band's account blocked for suspected spamming. I just needed to fill in a captcha to unblock the account, but I hope it won't happen again. This is something that needs to be fixed too.

Yes I am afraid of Myspace blocking my account or shutting it down too. This is pretty bad. Not going to use Fanreach anymore. Another thing, what's up with the stats lately. Something seems to have been changed in regards to the stats algorithm or something. I've sent out a few news blasts and usually I get a spike up but lately they're actually going down. Fanreach is not helping my stats at all. I'm up plays, hits, and fans but my equity is going down?

I've had many an Email exchange with the powers that be about Equity.
From what I can make out, every now and then they change how it's calculated and this can often have a negative affect.
I no longer worry about it too much and treat it as a bit of fun.
And I promise you it's not Fanreach's fault - it will be Myspace mate........ they wouldn't know where to find a pint in brewery.......... -

I am just one of a million little frogs croaking out his protests in this pond but put us all together and that’s some significant noise, right?
BLUF: ReverbNation has some sort of agreement in-place with MySpace and MySpace is not living up to it. The artists are individually feeling the impact of this but it’s going to take a collective pressure headed up by ReverbNation to fix it.
Please let me outline this from my perspective:
1) My ReverbNation and MySpace accounts are fully synched with one another. I composed multi-paragraph plain-text email as a Word document for later inclusion as a FanReach email.
2) I clicked the appropriate link at the top of my MySpace and went through the right steps, choosing a template, adding the text, etc and sent a sample version to myself at Hotmail. I opened my Hotmail in another tab and made sure all the formatting was okay and such (and it was) and went back to finish distributing the FanReach.
3) I selected as recipients my ReverbNation and MySpace fans and read and agreed to the “Terms and Conditions” and even got back a cheery little message about how my FanReach was “unlikely to trigger any spam alerts” (or something very similar). “What a nice touch”, I thought as I hit send.
4) I checked back an hour later to find that my MySapce “account has been blocked for suspected spam activity”.
You could say something like “Well all you have to do is solve one of those captcha puzzles” and I would agree except for the fact that nobody got the email in the first place, it wasn’t sent to anyone AND my account was blocked. I’ve spent a fair chunk of time this morning responding to messages along the lines of “I got notification that you sent me email but the message says that this ‘profile no longer exists’ What’s up?” I sent them all variations of: “MySpace apparently wants us to sync with ReverbNation and use their FanReach system but only on the condition that they immediately block our accounts when we do ... it's all very Orwellian. It's also very annoying. I'm off to do some damage control.”
My inbox at MySpace has routinely been filled over the past month or so with FanReach messages from my fellow artists that read simply “This Profile No Longer Exists” and I thought maybe it was because they violated TOS or something. Now in the same boat myself I view it a new light; I KNOW that I was within the TOS guidelines. The system itself is broken, as you know, but if it’s going to get fixed it’s going to have to come as a result of a concerted push from ReverbNation as an organization. I don’t claim to speak for anyone else but I know I’m not alone in this.

This is a significant problem. I see the majority of the emails in my inbox saying, "This Profile No Longer Exists".
And do you know why? Because every single FANREACH email has "Message not displaying correctly? View" in the Preview line. My bass player told me he deletes every Myspace message he gets that says that. Everyone thinks it's spam and is marking it as junk.
GET RID OF THE "Message not displaying correctly? View" FROM THE TOP OF THE FANREACH EMAILS. IT IS RUINING THE EMAIL'S IMPACT. -

I bought FanReach Pro a month to try to get my Myspace fans out of Myspace. Great idea, but the sync doesn't work for a solid. I beg ReverbNation to do it for me and prove it can be done! I will send a screen-recording of what happens. Every time I try to sync, it says sync was done successfully, and asks me to sync again.

My issue is connected, I generate my email in fanreach, and deselect local emails and then go to select myspace friends. I then get a pop up saying i need to sync first. I then proceed to sync, the new window opens and I select sync. I am advised the sync was successful and I close the window. I then try to select the myspace friend option is fan reach and the process begins again. I have unsynced in both myspace and reverbnation, but this has not helped, I have also installed firefox, as I am on a mac and have repeatedly tired in safari. Nothing is working. I hope you can help, it is very frustrating.

I feel your pain. I seemingly got it to work by testing it on a Music account.
IMPORTANT: Apparently the system is not set up to work if you don't have a Myspace Music account. I have a Filmmaker account and it was blocked for this reason! Grrr.....
IMPORANT #2: The other important thing to check: you MUST have a few non-Myspace friends (FanReach contacts) to email as well. If you try to send without including a few FanReach contacts, it will fail.
I had exactly the same problem for 3 months, finally got it to "seem" to work, but none of my contacts with Myspace actually got the email. So, skepticism remains.... -

I have a Myspace music artist account, always have, and I cannot pull my fans from there into Reverbnation either. Have tried numerous times, I always get a message that I don't have a music account. It is possible the glitch is on Myspace (no surprise) because even though my page there doesn't allow bands to add me, I get requests from them all the time. having problems with fanreach and myspace synch,the worst thing that happened was when i sent a fanreach,myspace said my account was "phished" and i had to reset my password on myspace everytime i tried to send the fanreach.
i wasnt able to get the fanreach to the myspace peeps smh

In the meantime, can you try un-syncing and re-syncing on one of our alternate servers? Just visit one of the listed sites below and login and then go to My Control Room > My Profile > Social Sync and try syncing to your MySpace page from there. Also double check that you're logged into your MySpace music account before syncing. Let me know if that helps!

Hi Zack! I found something! (OR maybe it's all fixed)
OK for my last month email, I tried to send to only the MS users because I had already done so for RN and had an error for MS because my account was actually at that time already blocked and I didn't know. That didn't work, and I would get an error while blocking my MS account.
BUT
This month I released again my tune and this time I made sure I wasn't blocked before sending, selected RN and MS contact, hit "schedule and send" and......NO ERROR on the right top corner!!! Nothing. The spam detected something in my email for the first time ever (I usually have the same template so I don't know what happend there) but the email was sent to both! So I don't know...

I cannot get Myspace to accept my FB link at the Home site were we get info and tips either. And The Reverb hasn't had my correct Friends for FB ever!
I dont have 5 sales on Reverb but I got 16,000 Plays. Something is boogus. -

This is ridiculous cause I've been having this problem for about a month, Reverbnation has so many glitches where words and links are jumbled on top of one another, for this kind of service we should be able to access all of your services for free. Who'd want to pay for RPK's and anything for that matter on here when the tools to promote aren't sufficient in performance

Please go to your Myspace page, update your password then re-sync to your Myspace page in your Reverb Control Room > My Profile > Social Sync area. This should fix the issue.
