Probems with the Revorb Store checkout - I'm losing sales!!

A number of fans have reported that the checkout function is not working in my Reverb Store. When they select an item, the shopping cart does not update, or the page appears to be stuck loading something. I tried ordering a sample CD and the same thing happened. Given that this is a brand new release and I've been pushing it as hard as I can across numerous social platforms and blogs, I really need this problem to be addressed ASAP. Yesterday 6 download albums were sold without any checkout problems, but 4 out of 6 people with high speed connections reported very slow download times. I hope to hear from someone at Reverbnation within the next day or 2 about this. I've had to offer alternative download options with payment via PayPal to my fans who couldn't access the Reverb Store checkout, and I don't know how many sales I've missed out on because of this problem, so we're both losing out here.

    P.S. I'm using Firefox 14.0.1 on Windows 7 Professional. My Laptop is HP Pavilion DV7. I have tried ordering a sample album again today (under the "Manage Store" tab) and the same thing is happening: I click on the "Order a Sample" link, which takes me to a page showing my available albums. On this page I see a small black tab at the bottom which says "loading", which does not go away. I click on the "buy now" button under the relevant album, and I see "Item added" flash briefly underneath the "buy now" button. The "loading" tab is still there, and nothing is added to the shopping cart. Refreshing the page does not work - it just takes me to the "Order Merchandise" page. No amount of clicking on the "buy now" button makes any difference either. Very frustrating.

    Really looking forward to a response on this guys!

    Sorry for the trouble. I am unable to replicate your issue. Can you let me know what browsers, versions of those browsers, and what types of machines and OS's they are using?

    I am not able to replicate your issue on Firefox 14. What artist on your roster do you refer to?

    If you are unable to or unwilling to obtain this information, we'll be happy to reach out to your fans, we just need their email addresses.

    I've just messaged the fans who were having trouble with the checkout, and it seems the issue was temporary. However, I am still unable to purchase a sample CD. The artist in question is Dan and Deryn Cullen (formerly Entropik).

    Also, some of our fans have voiced their concerns about the Reverb store not being a secure (https) connection. Can anything be done about this?

  • Glad the issue was temporary for those fans.

    What issue are you having ordering your own CDs? What CD? Is the CD published (on the reverb store that is)? What browser are you using? Have you tried other browsers?

    The Reverb Store is built and run by our partners at Audiolife. An https enabled version of the site is in the pipeline. No ETA on that.

  • As mentioned, I've been trying to order a sample CD of my latest album release (Painted Dreams) through the Reverb Store. I tried Firefox, Chrome and IE and experienced the same problem (as detailed in my second post). I have just tried with IE and was able to add the item to the cart, so problem seems to be solved. Thanks for your response. I look forward to the https version of the Reverb Store - I'm certain it will help to increase sales for everyone using it.
