furious, thinking about closing my reverbnation account
Im Basically having the same problem as people above where the music player is not showing up and running cursor over area does nothing. i have checked my intrnect connection speed its the same as it was when the music player was working. i have done the refresh, the flash update, etc. nothing has worked so far.Comment -

Its Working now, Just wondering what the problem was. i care because its the best player. especially for those of us with dial up. most players like myspace and i think facebook you cant pause it then let it completely load then play the song. which is what i love about this over especially myspace player where it you pause it then unpase it it goes backe to the begining of the song and it doesnt have the bar darkenen as it loads so you can see how much of the song was loaded. i wish myspace/facebook would use your player as long as there isnt anymore problems like this one happens.

so clearly reverbnation employees are not having any problems playing the music- the real issue is too many reverbnation account holders and fans are struggling with the player , and if you pay any attention to the various comments you can see we've tried all the fixes and still sometimes it works , but generally not .. i find it a bit patronising to say the least to have you suggest the same fixes over and over with little or no success :(

The music player is not working for me either, it worked fine a few days ago and now the songs will pop up in the player but will not buffer and it doesn't do anything when I hit play. Updated my flash player and tried newest versions of google chrome, mozilla, and ie. Please help. I miss reverb radio.

I am able to stream song fine on my end. We haven't had any recent issues with our player. Can you possibly try on a different computer? This sounds like it could be an internet connection issue. -

Hi, I have no band profile or music app on my facebook page...Using Chrome & IE, doesn't show up in either. Tried on both home PC and work PC.
Please help, this is a new band; we just played a show on Sunday and people who we told to go the site to listen to tunes are emailing saying NOTHING from Reverbnation is functioning properly. -

I am having trouble with the player in Chrome. It was playing last night. I have double check to make sure my flash is updated as well. It works fine in explorer, so I would imagine it's related to Chrome.

1Zack - why would the internet connection be the problem here? I can download and upload MP3 files just fine. I just can't stream reverbnation songs. Everything else works just the same as it always did with my internet connection. What could possibly be wrong with the connection that would cause this one specific problem for all of us that is only happening in reverbnation? It just doesn't make sense to me. Also, I don't use Chrome, so that's not the problem either. I have the most recent update for Adobe Flash, I've tried both internet explorer and firefox. It doesn't work.

I as well as a few of my coworkers were able to stream all of your songs with no issues on any of our browsers. If you are having issues it is because of your browser (usually IE) or your internet connection. Can you please try using another browser to test?

Seems to be the answer to everything "try an other browser" or update Flash player , I've tried every browser there is with the latest Flash player and it does not make a grain of difference , no buffering 0 % nilch. No wonder people give up

1I still can not play my songs or any other artists' songs. Stuck on buffering. This makes it hard to listen to and or evaluate the artists that come to my page asking for feedback on their tracks......not good for my business. There must be something that can be done. A lot of my fans using iPads & Macs can not see the music player, even with current versions of FF Safari & Chrome. Please advise. Thank you-
They do not support flash. Our players are flash based. I apologize for the trouble. We are definitely aware of this issue and have plans to make the two more compatible.

Apologies, Just downloaded latest flash from interent explorer & guess what - it all works!
Just a shame Internet explorer 9's flash doesnt work without having re-install flash manually as your average Joe may not think to do this.(with all other browsers I've tested, the widgets work fine without any manual flash upgrade)-

The songs in my playlist are not playing properly either, they're full of glitches and cutouts - it sounds like a cd skipping, irritating beyond belief. This happens in both Internet Explorer and Firefox. I even downloaded the latest version of Flash, and still the problem is there. Can anything be done about this?? My page is:

I use the standard music player widget on my personal site by embedding the code on my music page. I'm trying to promote the site and realized that the widget doesn't load with IE after a friend told me she just saw a blank white box. I tried it myself and saw the same thing, but after updating flash for IE (64-bit), it worked. I know everyone's not going to update their flash just to listen to my songs so..
Are Reverb Nation coders doing anything to make it compatible with older versions of flash for IE?
I use Chrome at home and Firefox at work so it's fine for me, but not for everyone else. IE is still probably the most popular browser so compatibility with it should be standard.-
Our development team is aware of the older IE issues. I cannot give any concrete information regarding what can and is being done. I apologize for the trouble.

Ok...I guess it's that time again. On Chrome here, no music. Buffers all the way through and counter stays at 0:00. Bars are jumpin' around havin' a good old time over there, what's up? Nothing on my profile or my Facebook page (MyBand) and it isn't just MY stuff...it's ANY artist I go to. Player no work no where. I'm not super concerned about "Stats" but it is a little disheartening to watch them drop. Any help, dudes?

utterly disappointed for my friend.
I wanted to check out a buddy's link to music: http://www.reverbnation.com/tunepak/3...
and it auto-plays "just fine" (if you're into auto-play). But, like the many screenshots above, the player is visible only in the header's link-bar, and only extends when you move your mouse over it -- then retracts once you move off of it again.
It does this for me in Google Chrome (latest iteration), Firefox 10.0.1, and Safari 5.1.2 -- all three.
You mentioned you would be fixing this 11 months ago....? -

it shows only black background and the two link-pics at the bottom to tunewidget and reverbnation. pls its really a big problem because myspace is our main social network base and i cannot find a helpdesk here.-

When it is not working I can't get it to work on firefox, chrome, IE, or on windows or mac. I have all of them side by side right next to me all day long.
Like I said, sometimes it works fine, then suddenly it doesn't. More so when you click on another song while you have one currently playing. Seems to lock up. At least it seems that way in my case.

I am a new Reverbnation user, and I feel like I can give some constructive info here.
I am building a website for my band. I installed the HTML5 widget. The widget works fine in Chrome and in Firefox. However, I had some trouble getting the widget to work in Internet Explorer 9, so I updated my Flashplayer to the newest version (version 11, as of 5/11/2012). It still does not work. In fact, it won't even load the widget at all. Here is a screenshot of the error:
I receive this error AFTER updating to the newest flashplayer and clearing my cache.
I am running Windows 7, 64 bit, 8 gigs of ram. i5-2500kprocessor.
Internet Explorer version 9.0.8112.16421
The website address is: http://www.retrojockeys.com Obviously, it is still under construction. Please let us know if a fix is being worked on, or if the problem has been identified.
I have tested the widget in a variety of browsers on my system, and here are the results:
Chrome - it works fine.
Firefox - it works fine.
IE 9 - it gives a huge error. The screenshot of this error is included. The widget won't even load.
Safari - I tested this on both my iPhone and on my pc. The results were the same on both devices. It will load the widget, and when you push play, the song never plays. It does not even show the song loading. However, the play/pause controls still seem to work, but the music never starts or even loads.

The HTML5 player looks great, first of all. However, it does not work unless someone hits "Play" on whatever the first tracks is, first. Only then can someone hear other tracks. If they just try to choose any track at will to play, it won't happen. It's like you have to kickstart things by playing the top track and then you can skip around. This has got to be fixed for visitors' sake, please look into it. :D

Let me see if I can put this in perspective -- we have a music site for musicians but there's a problem with what? The music player? On one of the planet's most used browsers? Oh, that shouldn't be a problem, should it?
I reported this problem in a separate thread recently (sorry) and they closed it out as "Answered!" although it still doesn't work. [player won't initialize etc]
Is there another band hosting site out there that people are starting to use? This one's jumped the shark IMHO. -

The music player is very hit-or-miss. In my experience, you have to "force" it to work by clicking on the song you wish to listen to (which then appears in the player but doesn't load) and then navigating away from the page (usually several times) until it decides to load. This makes it very tedious to become fans of artists because by the time you decide if you like the song or not, you have to find your way back to the artist's page. Today, I've spent over 40 minutes at ReverbNation, and I've heard half a track (it stopped playing when I arrived at the feedback page). I have the last version of Internet Explorer 8 and Firefox with the latest Flash Player from Cnet. This is very frustrating...
