I tried on both Firefox and Safari (mac). Never had a problem listening before today. I will see if I need to upgrade Flash player. Thanks!! -Tripp

Johnny, the music player is missing on the upper right corner, so I can't play anybody's song on ReverbNation. I'm on Firefox 4 RC and IE9 RC. It worked yesterday.

Try updating Flash. If you still get the error, please send me a screen shot of what the page looks like, so that I can have a better idea of what is going on. Thanks.

Same thing is happening to me...Cant play the music and if you do get it to play you cant stop it or it starts overlapping....It all happenned after they changed the format...Very unhappy with the change...

We are working on figuring out the issue here. In the meantime, I recommend that you all click ctrl+F5. This will do a clean refresh of the page, and may cause the player to load properly. Give this a try and let me know if it works. Thanks!

I am still having the same problem as of Mr. Littleman ... :( No player shown even ... my profile is www.reverbnation.com/twistintale ... in fact I cant play anybody's music at all :(

I had a developer look at it and he has made a few changes. It should work now if you refresh the page. Give this a try, and let me know if you still have any issues. Thanks!

Still doesn't work for IE9RC and FF4RC, but works now with IE9RTM and Chrome, so I guess it's all good now since those are pre-release browsers anyway. Thanks a lot for the quick turnaround. Thumbs up!

The issue should be fixed. You may need to do a clean refresh (ctrl+F5) to get the page to update. Hope this helps!

Still not working for me. I have NOT updated flash player but my current version is not that old. My concern is that MY FANS NEED TO KNOW THAT THEY MUST UPDATE THE FLASH PLAYER. They will get a page without a player and walk away. Can a message of some sort be posted?

Flash updates are a standard requirement for all websites that use Flash. Using older versions will seriously hurt, or eliminate, compatibility. This is why computers, and many browsers, prompt the updates automatically.
Are you able to see the player or does it just not load and stream? If the player simply does not stream, this is likely an internet connection issue. Our site-wide player does not work with dial-up or satellite internet.- view 1 more comment

Johnny - a big discovery. When I click on the spot where the player is supposed to be, suddenly it appears! When I refresh with F5 or restart Firefox, it is again missing.

Johnny, another clue. Just holding the mouse over the area where the player is to appear brings it up. Until I do that, trying to play a song from the menu doesn't work. Flash is totally up to date, turns out it always was. THIS ALSO HAPPENS WITH IEE8.

According to Firefox, my flash player is fully updated: Adobe Shockwave Flash Player 10.2.153.1. When I try to add the regular Adobe Flash Player by downloading and installing, nothing happens when restart Firefox. BTW, when I disabled Shockwave, my logo image disappeared. Re-enabling brought it back but still no player. Perhaps somebody could explain what ReverbNation did lately to change the player?

Same for me. I click where it is supposed to be and then it appears but otherwise its not visible. I'm on the latest version of ie9 with all patches and the latest adobe flash. Something is definitely wrong. Should be something WEB team at reverbnation can figure out. Thanks for the find on this. At least I can play reverbnation when I'm using ie9!

I'm using firefox browser. My adobe is up to date. when i try a song on the player it just loads at 0% and never plays. i just became a member about 2 weeks ago and have NEVER played ANYTHING on it. help, please........

Concern. Is it common for sites not to work well with some browsers? Like, for instance, an uncommon one like Microsoft Internet Explorer? I kinda think that would be important.

I am having problems with my flash player in foxfire and both have been updated. this seems to be a reoccurring problem for me and I need a fix or what's the use?

Still the same problem for me but my workaround is to put the mouse over the area where the player should appear and it does. Clicking on a song to play it will not work until the player is revealed. My concern is that this is not an obvious thing listeners will do. I know what they will do - move on. A good website should work with (somewhat) outdated flash/etc media apps and CERTAINLY should work well with Internet Explorer (see my comment on Johnny's response to turd person).

I successfully added the facebook music player to my facebook band page, and can share via the facebook wall. When I open the page via facebook ib a laptop the widget appears and I can play the tunes, but when I click on the thread via my iphone it redirects to reverbnation page and I can't play the songs. Questions, why doesn't the facebook revernation widget work on an iphone, and / or why can't I play clips from the reverbnation site on the iphone?

Hello growing band of people who are not happy....Just checked "most of my independant sites and the reverbnation control panel" for any sort of autoplay working, Problem is that as you see from this one screen shot. (see blow)
1. The extreme right hand "sound indicators/ vertical bars" are showing that the player is giving sound reproduction (but there is no sound)
2. The following (below) 4 screen shots taken at random from our networking site are of players that are playing (with no sound reproduction) for some 45 - 50 seconds and the lower "track progress bar" remains static at zero.
3. The very same happens on my reverbnation control panel (your own platform). when i try to place a widget http://www.reverbnation.com/emmamory
4. I do have all flash etc up to date on my computer tried ctrl+f5 tried various browsers.
5. probably most interesting of all went to internet cafe and tried on 3 diffrent computers to find one of my previously placed widget that autoplayed ( non of them did). Just did the same as the screen shot. Nothing no sound no autoplay, not even playing if i turn them off autoplay, or advance to the next track.
6. Looking at my playt stats this has been going on for a while but i have just noticed it ~ so what is happening and when will it be put right. I am extremely dissapointed with Reverbnation.-
would appreciate a responce please reverbnation.

I just checked my Reverbnation player auto-play function and IT IS WORKING JUST FINE. I opened my NJFM page and my music immediately started BLARING at me. I am really tired of hearing the complaints from Emma about auto-play. Any more and I'm cancelling my NJFM account--it's getting OLD. The only good thing about this same old complaint, is that it reminded me that I need to turn that annoying feature OFF. It's offensive and turns people off. The first thing I do at the NJFM home page is kill my speakers...I do not like to be assaulted by some musician's need to show-off--and I am a musician. If you're any good, tell us and let us decide whether to listen or not. You want a real fan count, make people take the time to press play instead of hard selling stuff to them. I think I'm cancelling my NJFM account---the push for auto play is way to hard a sell and the site has done virtually nothing to get me or my name out there as it is.

I am just about DONE with reverbnation. When I go to the page, I get to play ONE tune from my saved list< SOMETIMES> ,and other times it will not play AT ALL. Don't tell me there is NO PROBLEM,,,,do you think I am stupid,,IT"S IN THE SITE. If there was a tech there that had ANY BRAINS,,they would be able to find the friggin problem. IT IS NOT HERE ON MY END !! Don't you see there are many other people telling you there is a problem>? BESIDES ME,,,DOPES!!!

We are not seeing any issues with streaming on our site. I just played all of the songs that you have on your Fan Page playlist, and they all stream perfectly. This issue is indicative of needing internet browser and Flash updates, or of a slow internet connection. These are all user-end issues that we do not have control over. I recommend that you update to the latest version of Firefox, the latest version of Adobe Flash, and make sure you have a high-speed (not dial up or satellite) connection. Hope this helps!-
i have all the latest updates , tried cntrl f5 , and still having the same issues - sometimes i can play a track or 2 before the player stops working , but generally i can't get even 1 track to play !! been having this issue for about 4 years now , since i first started using this site .. you can blame everything else , but when so many are havng the same problem doesn't it warrant more than a passing of the buck ??

DON'T GIVE UP FOLKS!! I use Firefox, latest version, and its easy to check to see if all your plug-ins, etc. are up to date. Mine are. My music player is still "invisible" until I mouse over the area where it is supposed to appear. Only then will a chosen song play (I've offered this hint as to what might be wrong before, but without response).
Anyway, I assume my fans can have the same bad experience, but don't have time to complain - they just leave. SO, I HAVE A GOOD WORK-AROUND!!

I'm uploading tracks today. A handful of them play, a handful of them just say "buffering" and a few play the same wrong song over and over. 5 tracks playing the same wrong song. I've re-uploaded several times, I've deleted the track and re-uploaded several times. WTF?

I have tried every thing to get my player to work and it just won't. 0 buffering, no sound. the song queue up but won't play. foxfire pc dualcore very experienced user.

i have done all the stuff including update flash and still the music player is not shown or can play music. it was working fine earlier today up to i believe noon. Then it vanished

Our player will not work with dial-up. You will need a high-speed internet connection to stream our player consistently. I apologize for the inconvenience.
