HTML5 Widget on New Website Is Not Working with iPhone or iPad
Hello all. I am currently working on a new website design for my little indie record label. I have replaced two of the band's embedded widgets with the new HTML5 widgets --- while these new widgets play fine on my computer, they still aren't working on my iPhone or iPad. Any thoughts? I have tried everything I can think of.

I apologize for the trouble. Are you getting any error messages when the widgets are not working on the ipad and iphone?
-
-
Can you link me to where the widgets have been posted too?

And no, no error messages. When you touch the play button or touch a song selection on the iPhone and iPad, it reacts and visually works as it should. However, nothing plays.

Thanks. I will update you as soon as possible.

It looks like the apps are functioning on our end. Are you still having issues today on the iphone and ipad?

Yes, we are still having the same issue. The widgets still will not play on my iPhone or iPad. Can you or your support team please take a look at the website and see if you can identify the problem?

As I said, the widget displays properly and visually responds to touch input, but it doesn't play anything on either my iPhone or iPad. It works fine on my computer and my friend's Android phone. My assumption, therefore, is that the HTML5 is not working properly. -

I have re-pinged our development team about this issue.

I'm also having intermittent issues with playback on all webkit devises: Safari, iPhone and iPad. Like the OP said, the widget responds visually (except that the loading bar doesn't show up), but it doesn't play. It seems to be a hit and miss. After a few refreshes it might start working. I am using the Iphone 4s (brand new) and the Ipad 2 (new) both are fully updated. I didnt realize this was a problem until several people have brought it to my attention and I decided to test it on my devices. One thing that I have noticed, if you hit download on the music player it will bring up a new window and the song will play. But the song will not play directly off of the music player itself.

I have the new html5 music widget on my website too (http://www.franticpeace.net/musicplay...) and find that it works fine on my computer but when I use my android smart phone it just goes through each song on my list within a couple of seconds it changes to the next song and then to the next and so on, but absolutely no music plays. And this only happens if I push the play button just right... other wise a new window will open instead and send me to my page on reverbnation. both out comes are very inconvenient.

So I am not sure if some updates have been made but I am noticing no problems using the widget now on my phone while using the Dolphin web browser. But interesting enough is if I use the default browser that comes with my phone when I try to press pause or play a new pop up window comes up leading to my reverbnation webpage.
puzzling...
Thank you very much for your time. I can only imaging how frustrating it must be for the team at Reverbnation to try and figure this stuff out.
I hate to be too picky but would it be possible to have the songs play through?
I notice I need to press on a song to play and when it finishes I need to press on a new song to get it to play.
It may be nice to have the music auto play on the widget opening and then play through all songs in the playlist.
Thank you sooooo very much for your time again.

No problem. I will share this post with our team and ask them about the autoplay function. We appreciate your business and we will update you with any know changes. Have a lovely day!

I really love the new HTML5 player widget and it shows up on my ipad & iphone, but there is no sound when playing. It works fine on my computer though.
Really frustrating because this stops me using Reverbnation on my website as iphone & ipad users can't hear or buy any tracks
I am currently leaving the old widget up (which never worked on iphone/ipad) as I am updating the website and need a player that works across all platforms. If Reverbnation can sort this out I will happily use the new widget, if not I will have to find another.- view 1 more comment

Can you attempt adding a different type of HTML widget to your page different from the one that is causing trouble? I want to see if we can single the issue out.
