To add fans to your ReverbNation account you will need to sync your Facebook 'Musician/Band' page to your ReverbNation profile. To get to the Social Sync section of your profile first select Account from your User Menu:
Then select the Social Sync tab and click the Sync to Facebook Page button:
Please be sure to sync your 'Musician/Band' page and not your personal Timeline if you would like to add your fans. If you are not sure if you have a Musican/Band page or a personal Timeline page here is an easy way to check: View your band's Facebook page while logged out of Facebook. Which of the two buttons below do you see?
If you see the 'Like' button, this means that you have a band page. If you see the 'Add Friend' button, this means that you have a personal profile and will need to create a band page in order to add My Band.
If you need to add a Facebook band page click here: Add a Musician/Band Page
If you are having any trouble syncing in your Dashboard please let us know here:

I hope that helps!

Updated Information as of 2012:
You can get your Facebook fan count to sync with your ReverbNation fan count in the Control Room -- My Profile -- Social Sync area of your artist profile.
Important things to remember:
1. ReverbNation can only sync with a band page at Facebook. Personal profiles, or "group pages" do not apply
2. Your login you use to sync at Facebook must be the admin/owner/creator of the aforementioned band page
Hope that helps!

OK...I had my music linked with FB back when Personal Pages were allowed. When RN or FB made the change where you had to have a Fan Page, I made one. Problem is when told Personal Pages couldn't link to RN it then asked if I wanted to create a Fan Page. I clicked yes & set one up. have had it a long time. however I can only get to my Fan Page through my Personal Page. There is no separate log in.....so every time I try to sync my Fan/band Page where my music is, it says you don't have a Band Profile

That's the same thing I am facing right now ....

Thank you for that information. It appears that there are two things going on here.
1. It can't post to your page on Facebook, because your page is classified as a "community page about spoken word" or a "community page" and it has to be a "musician/band page" for that feature to work on our site
2. It can't post to your personal fb page, because you have your twitter updates feeding into your personal page I think, and then FB would recognize them as a duplicate post -

Sorry you are having trouble. Is that page a recent signup today? Have you tried adding the Band Profile app to it? Are you logged in to the personal profile which is the admin of the page when you try to sync? What is the error message you receive?

Hi Brad
Can you point us to where you are having trouble? I see you are synced to your page here: https://www.facebook.com/bharpermusic , which has 33 likes, all of which are being recorded correctly as fans in your stats here: http://www.reverbnation.com/control_r... -

Hi,
I'm currently returning to RN. I use to play around with it during the Myspace era.
I've just paid for the Mega Storage and signed up for the trail of the Widgets Pro, which apparently includes a host of free other things.
Now, my problem. When I post a Widget onto my facebook band page, the Picture of my facebook profile appears. I would think the picture that's associated with the Widget or even my RN profile picture should appear with the Play icon in the middle. No, it's the picture of my regular facebook page. Also, the Widget that I select let's say the blog customization of the Widget. That's not what appears onto facebook. It seems that no matter which Widget I select, facebook only receives another type by default or something. Is that the case? if it is, there is no need for me to pay for Widget Pro and all of the other goodies once the trial is over.
I'll stick with soundcloud, which shows the picture associated with the player Directly onto facebook. I don't understand why this is so complicated with RN.
Please help.

Is there any way to sync my facebook page to reverb nation if i DON'T have a band/venue page? I have a cafe that books bands on the weekends and I'd love to sync our facebook to reverb nation but everytime I try, the option isn't available.
If this isn't possible now, may I suggest it for future upgrades? I imagine I'm not the only business owner that isn't a primary music venue but would still like to have my shows available on facebook instead of having to make an event every time...-
We can certainly pass on the suggestion

Hello Neal,
I am having the same issue as above. Perhaps I could beg for your assistance as well?
My artist has 3 RN accounts, the first 2 are fine. However, the third page is giving me the hardest time.
I am trying to have the RN page: https://www.reverbnation.com/renoclas...
synch to: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Reno-Cl...
So that I have a single streaming source coming from RN. The classical site is linking to his Jazz site in the background, and the wrong content streams if I activate Band Profile on the FB side.
When I created this page, I did so from a Label/Manager account. Not sure that was the correct way to go.... (in hind sight)
however, in all of this as well, I was trying to get a login for the Classical page (for co-admin), but I can't seem to enter this email (reno.classical@gmail.com) without duplicating the Classical page - and really messing things up - due to the current RN sign-up process. Is there a way you could create the login account and set a temporary p/w?
I did send an email to support@ a few days ago now, but have yet to hear back.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated
Thx!- view 3 more comments

Really?!?!? That's it to fix? :)
I've been going nuts over here for the last couple of days.....
Where would I go to make this change? As the classical RN site still does not have a validated login. Via the Label Admin Panel?
Pls advise
:) -
-
I believe that is the fix most likely. You can tell from this thread that many people post links to pages other than musician/band pages, but that we note it has to be a "musician/band" page. You make this change at Facebook, since it is a Facebook page. Edit your page there.

Hi Neal, no luck. We are still not synching the correct content on the Classical side of things.
I changed the page designation to Musician/Band. No problem there.
Then logged into FB to try again
and after 2 days.... still no luck.
Can this be fixed in the background by RN?-
Unfortunately, no, as you have to be logged in as admin of the page in question. Log out of both ReverbNation and Facebook. Clear your cache and cookies, and restart your browser. Come straight to ReverbNation. Login to the artist account (not the label) and go to the Social sync area. Click to sync for Facebook page. When prompted for login info (since you logged out, cleared cache, and restarted, you will not be logged into FB) type in the login info for the Facebook account that is the admin of the page here: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Reno-C...

I'm currently having issues syncing my RN page to my Facebook page. I'm trying to
sync: https://www.facebook.com/Hazerockz to
http://www.reverbnation.com/haze210?p...
I'm an admin of the Facebook page, however, the page has more than one admin for it. The page is set to musician/band and I have tried logging in as the page on facebook and attempting to sync, but I get a prompt that says that I am logged into facebook as Haze and I need to login as my own personal profile. How can I resolve this?- view 1 more comment

The page is definitely set as a musician/band page. Under the basic information on the "Edit Page" the category is set to Music and the page is set to Musician/Band. So that can't be the issue
-
-
Hi Haze
22 hours ago, it was set as a community page. It is not set correctly, and thus you are also synced correctly if you look in User Menu > Account > Social Sync! Your 442 likes on that page are now being counted as fans here at Reverb as well, so that's good too. -

I can not seem to sync with my musician/band page. Every time I try, it requests that I log into my personal page, which for some reason it WILL sync to, though I'd rather it didn't. Whenever I try to sync when I am logged in as my musician/band page, I get this message:
"You are using Facebook as Kari Lynn Hewett - musician
To access this page, you'll need to switch from using Facebook as your page to using Facebook as yourself."
And then when I switch, naturally, it syncs to my personal page.
musician/band page: https://www.facebook.com/KariLynnHewett
I've tried this on Chrome Version 26.0.1410.63, Safari 5.1.7, and Firefox 15.0.1. It seems to be pretty consistent.
Please help!-
Hello Kari!
You must be logged into a personal account that has Admin access to the desired page in order to link your Musician/Band page.
Please be sure that you are clicking the second option listed in your Social Sync menu that list labeled 'Sync to Facebook Page'. This will sync to your 'Musician/Band' Page.
I hope that helps and please let me know if you continue to have any issues.
Thanks! -

It just keeps trying to sync with my personal FB page. How do I tell it to sync with the FB band page that I admin?
-
Nevermind. Got it to work: I had to sync with my personal page first. Then I could sync to the band page. Afterwards, I was able to disconnect from my personal FB profile, but leave the band page connected. That should be made clear in the first response - that response, as it stands, implies that you can sync a band page without ever connecting to your personal page (I was not able to do this).

I thought my FB was synched correctly, but I'm having some issues--I have a couple of promote it campaigns running (to garner FB likes), and the campaign data reports new FB likes that don't actually show up on my FB page. (Only about half of them register to my FB.) What's the deal with that?

So I can make them sync, I have 9 likes on facebook but 30 on reverbnation. How can I either:
A: Combine them all into a total of 39
or
B: At least use the 30 likes on reverb instead of the 9 on fb, because it only shows 9 likes for both when sync'd-
Thanks for the message. Unfortunately the likes on Reverb do not count as fans at this time. So, even though you only have 9 on Facebook, you should choose the option to sync those to the FB number because from that point on, whoever clicks the like on Reverb counts as a like to the Facebook page too, so you can see that information about them there AND they count as a fan. You can do that in User Menu > Account > Social Sync by checking the box in question. It may take a day to update however.

Trying to add my artist to who already has a RN and trying to get his info on the label page admin for RN.? Will his music sync too?
-
Hello!
It looks like you have synced your artist J WEST to your label page. As soon as J WEST has added content, such as songs, shows, albums, etc., it will then appear on your label profile.
To sync to a J WEST Facebook page you must have admin access to the J WEST 'Musician/Band' page on Facebook. If you have admin access to the Facebook page simply log into your you label Dashboard and click 'View Profile' for the J WEST page. From here click 'Dashboard' in the J WEST admin panel. Once in the J WEST Dashboard go to 'Admin > Account > Social Sync' and click the 'Sync to Facebook Page' button as you would for any other account.
I hope that helps!
Thanks! -
