  • To add fans to your ReverbNation account you will need to sync your Facebook 'Musician/Band' page to your ReverbNation profile. To get to the Social Sync section of your profile first select Account from your User Menu:

Then select the Social Sync tab and click the Sync to Facebook Page button:

Please be sure to sync your 'Musician/Band' page and not your personal Timeline if you would like to add your fans:

If you are not sure if you have a Musican/Band page or a personal Timeline page here is an easy way to check: View your band's Facebook page while logged out of Facebook. Which of the two buttons below do you see?

If you see the 'Like' button, this means that you have a band page. If you see the 'Add Friend' button, this means that you have a personal profile and will need to create a band page in order to add My Band.

To add a Facebook band page click here: Add a Musician/Band Page

Once you have synced your Facebook Musician/Band page ReverbNation will automatically update your stats approximately every 24 hours.

If you would like to manually refresh the fan counts for synced pages simply click the link labeled click here to refresh them at the bottom of the Social Sync page:

Want to add ReverbNation apps to your Facebook Musician/Band page?

Click here: ReverbNation My Band Apps

"Like" counts are controlled entirely by Facebook -- we just displaying the data they give us. We've seen "Like" counts drop and they usually recover not long after. If your song counts do not recover give Facebook support a shout. Unfortunately since this is a Facebook metric there is nothing we can do to restore the number if it does not come back. If your ReverbNation page is displaying a different number of "Likes" then you see displayed on your Facebook Musician/Band page try the above manual update. If you still do not see the same number on both pages please let us know and we will look into it for you.

Please note that permissions are granted on a per user basis, not a per page basis. It's a Facebook limitation that we cannot request permission just for a single page. Because of this even if you are only syncing your Musician/Band page Facebook will require you to first accept permissions from any 3rd party website (in this case that would be us here at ReverbNation) for your personal account before you can sync a Facebook page of any kind (musician/band, record label, business, etc).

With that said, ReverbNation does not take any action on any pages for which you have not installed a ReverbNation app. Granting Manage Pages permission is required in order for us to do certain things like add the app to your page, set the app position, and connect using social sync, to import your FB fan numbers into your fan count on ReverbNation.

    I hope that helps!

Like I said My Problem is I have control of more than 1 Fan Page! I can only post to 1 specific fan page. If I post anything to the other pages I may be sued. Please help sync me to a specific fan page!

I'am really not sure if that means That You will only post on a specific page or all of them. It says it wants to post to all of them. That would put me in serious trouble.

  • Gary
I created and synched a FB music page that includes the Music Player app, but I don't see the individual song likes on my RN profile page. All I see is where the song Like button should be is the "Promote It" button. I do have the overall FB Like button for my FB Music page in the upper right hand corner of my RN profile page. Any thoughts?
    Thanks!

      Hey Gary!

I'm sorry you are having some trouble!

The view you are seeing with the "Promote It" button is admin only. Your Fans will see a normal view.

At this time your fans will see only your Facebook Like count on your Musician/Band profile page. They must go to your ReverbNation page to view your other stats.

      I hope that helps!

      Thanks!

    sad I’m frustrated!
I have done all of this (and RN shows I"m synched) yet my FB fans do not appear on my RN band profile. I am logged in, yet to leave a comment here, it keeps asking me to login. Why is there no easy way to get help?
