Are you all attempting to send messages to Personal Profiles on MySpace? If so, you will get an error message. We are working with MySpace to see why this is happening. However, in the meantime, you can send a message through the MySpace side of FanReach. You will not get an error message if you send the message this way. Hope this helps!

Can you walk me through that please, Johnny? I've always used my personal MySpace page as my musician page (with a ReverbNation widget, of course!!). Now, RN will let me sync those "fans" with my RN fans, but I don't see how I can send them info. about my upcoming events, etc. Please help! I'm trying to get the hang of this...

There are two unique types of MySpace pages. There are personal pages (these have Friends) and there are Musician Pages (these have Fans). The service that we offer for messaging will only work with Musician Pages. This is a decision by MySpace that we do not have any control over. If you would like to contact them about your feelings regarding this issue, you can email them at musicsupport(at)support(dot)myspace(dot)com. Hope this helps! -

I apologize for the confusion. I do not believe that this is still an option on MySpace's end. If it is, you will see a FanReach icon in the drop down menus at the top of your MySpace page. Let me know if you see the FanReach link there. Thanks.

Hi Johnny,
Slightly different issue here!
When sending a Fanreach e-mail from our Reverbnation account, we select our myspace fans as recipients, the message sends fine, no error messages.
However when looking in the analytics, apparently nobody from myspace has ever received any of our messages?!
These are the 'fans' that we're trying to convert into FANS! So this tool appears to be extremely helpful! If it works?
Any suggestions? -

I'm having the same problem as the guys above. Sent out a message via Fanreach and 0 people have read it... out of 67,000. Seems unlikely.

It wouldn't allow me to add my MySpace contacts today - first time it's done that.

Do you get an error message? Have you changed anything in the social sync settings (ie new accounts)?

Yes, said error. No settings have been changed since I was able to send one last week - with the Myspace list included.

We can confirm that FanReach is STILL having issues connecting to MySpace. Here's what comes up when you attempt to check the box to add MySpace fans to your recipients list:
The problem is, the MySpace account IS synced (and we've tried disconnecting and reconnecting):
What is happening, as far as we can tell, is whenever ReverbNation tries to connect to MySpace, MySpace detects it as a hack attempt, and blocks the account:
So we reset the password, unblock the account, try to re-send the FanReach e-mail, and the whole cycle begins again. Reverb techs, PLEASE get on top of this and fix it! Our FanReach account is coming up for renewal soon, and it feels wrong to be charged for a service that's not working... -
